SNAP-8 (Synthetic Neuropeptide Amplifying Peptide) is a muscle contraction inhibitor peptide. It is a shortened version of Argireline, working by mimicking the N-terminal end of SNAP-25. This action modulates the SNARE complex, reducing the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction. This leads to the reduction of facial expression lines and wrinkles when applied topically in cosmetic products.
